Caterina Testardi and Caterina Weddings

Caterina Weddings is the studio of Caterina Testardi, a destination wedding planner and wedding designer born in Pisa. She plans weddings for Italian and foreign couples, and each event is designed around the couple's budget, taste and personality rather than a fixed template.

Caterina began planning professionally after organising her own wedding in 2009. She studied administration and market economics, which shapes how she handles budgets: she takes the couple's wishes seriously while keeping the plan inside the figure they set.

She does not work alone. Architects, designers, light designers, sommeliers and other specialists join the planning, and on the day she is supported by a nearly all-female team in which each person has a defined role, so every supplier is overseen and surprises are dealt with quickly.

The work is based in Tuscany: Florence, Siena, the Chianti hills and countryside, villas, the beach and seaside, with civil, symbolic and religious ceremonies. Real weddings on the portfolio range from a botanical wedding in Florence to a candlelit dinner in a restored barn.

Beyond full weddings, the studio plans intimate elopements for up to 15 guests and surprise marriage proposals, with locations, styling, musicians and photographers arranged around the couple.

From the first message to the day itself

  1. 01First consultation

    You describe your idea of the perfect wedding, your guest numbers and your budget, and Caterina shares what is realistic in Tuscany.

  2. 02Inspiration and design

    An inspiration session sets the style, followed by a design study covering stationery, flowers, ceremony and reception set-up.

  3. 03Venue and vendors

    Caterina helps choose the location, recommends and evaluates vendors and negotiates contracts with them.

  4. 04Menu, details and timeline

    She attends the menu tasting, plans favours and builds a timeline that is sent to every vendor involved.

  5. 05Wedding day direction

    The team supervises the whole day, directs vendors during set-up, coordinates music and the bridal party, and manages the schedule with the photographer and videographer.

  6. 06Payments and wrap-up

    Vendor payments are settled as agreed with the couple, and the team stays on site for the couple and their guests.

Caterina isn't just a "wedding planner," she treats your wedding day as if it were her own - leaving no detail unstudied, consistently realizing the vision set forth, traveling throughout Tuscany tirelessly for site visits, and doing it all with a huge smile. It is clear her focus is always on her client and on the big day. Her communication is clear and should an issue arise (like a wayward rain shower on our wedding day) she is armed with numerous solutions.
