A hotelier turned planner
Details Details was founded in 2005 by Jeannie Young Savage, who had previously been general manager of several full-service hotels, managing around 200 employees and more than 40 vendors. She holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of California, Irvine, and specialises in destination couples who live out of state or abroad, multiple-day events and full-service coordination from first meeting to last dance.
Hotels and resorts
The company is based in Irvine and plans weddings across Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Palm Springs and Los Cabos, Mexico, and is available for domestic and international travel. Its portfolio centres on luxury hotels and resorts, among them Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, Montage Laguna Beach, Pelican Hill Resort, Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach, Hotel Bel Air, Hotel del Coronado, The Langham Huntington in Pasadena and the Huntington Library.
Three service levels
Tulip is on-site coordination and management, at $5,000 to $6,500 and above. Orchid adds consulting, design and coordination, at $12,000 to $16,000 and above. Sweet Pea is full planning and design, at $22,000 to $36,000 and above. An unlimited consultation add-on to Tulip is $750.
The team and the day
Jeannie leads a team of planners that includes Sarah Stowell, Kristi Lee, Christine Danielle Tran and Natalie Borges. Under Orchid and Sweet Pea the team develops the budget, vendor referrals and contract review, a minute-by-minute timeline and the ceremony rehearsal, and on the day it manages the vendors, ushers, musicians and banquet. Weekend events such as a welcome party and brunch are part of the service.
