Despina Craig Events is a full-service event and design company based in San Francisco. Despina Craig, the owner and event designer, leads each wedding herself, from the view that planning and design belong together and that the first impression sets the mood for the whole day.
Built around the couple
Weddings start with learning who the couple are and what matters to them. That becomes a design for the day covering the colour palette, florals, table styling, lighting and printed details. The portfolio includes garden ceremonies, themed weddings and ballroom receptions, large and lavish or intimate.
The details
The detail work is a signature: hand-lettered seating charts, faceted favour boxes, a succulent and orchid boutonniere, a ceremony programme printed on a paddle fan. Each is designed to match the wedding’s colours and theme.
Across the Bay Area and Los Angeles
The company plans weddings across the Bay Area, in Napa and Sonoma, and in Los Angeles, and the same approach covers milestone birthdays, bar and bat mitzvahs and children’s parties. It holds a 2017 Service Excellence Award from The Luxury Travel Guide and won the WeddingWire Couples’ Choice Award in 2016. Fees are quoted for each wedding.
