About
Serendipity Street
Serendipity Street is a catering and events company run from Lavenham in Suffolk. It cooks and serves for weddings, family celebrations, corporate events, film and TV crews and festivals, and it describes more than ten years in the industry.
Menus are built around locally sourced produce where possible and are divided into themes that can be mixed freely: a country larder, a British seaside menu, a picnic for outdoor weddings, a village pub menu, street food and a vegetarian and vegan feast. Wedding food ranges from plated dinners to buffets, hog roasts, grazing tables and afternoon tea receptions, and special diets are catered for.
The company is recognised for a vintage, tea party style of wedding. It hires out vintage and antique china for up to 240 guests, and can add table linen, bunting, lanterns, cake stands and place names. Couples have also used it for full venue dressing and for cakes, and it offers wider event planning, from choosing a venue to coordinating rentals and suppliers.
It works across Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Essex and London, delivering china and food to marquees, gardens, barns and country houses. It operates a catering van for street food and festival work, and it is a general caterer with a broad events range rather than a wedding-only business.
