A tea party wedding
Serendipity Street is a catering and events company run from Lavenham in Suffolk, with more than ten years in the industry. It is recognised for a vintage, tea party style of wedding, and hires out vintage and antique china for up to 240 guests, with table linen, bunting, lanterns, cake stands and place names.

The menus
Menus are built around locally sourced produce where possible and are divided into themes that can be mixed: a country larder, a British seaside menu, a picnic for outdoor weddings, a village pub menu, street food and a vegetarian and vegan feast. Wedding food runs from plated dinners and buffets to hog roasts, grazing tables and afternoon tea.

Cakes of another kind
The cakes are savoury as often as sweet: a tiered pork pie, a stack of cheeses decorated with figs and rosemary, and a display of doughnuts and bagels with macarons and dried flowers.

Prices and where it works
Published prices include afternoon tea at £15, £18 or £20 a guest, grazing from £10, gourmet street food from £9 and canapes at £1.50 each. The company works across Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Essex and London, delivering to marquees, gardens, barns and country houses. It is a general caterer with a broad events range, not a wedding-only business.
