Olga Polizzi's whitewashed seaside hotel above the harbour in St Mawes, Cornwall
Hotel Tresanton is a seaside hotel in St Mawes designed by Olga Polizzi, with a cinema and bar lounge licensed for ceremonies, sea-view terraces, a restaurant over the water and 30 bedrooms, for weddings of two to 70 guests.
Hotel Tresanton stands in St Mawes, a fishing village on Cornwall's Roseland Peninsula, in a group of whitewashed buildings above the harbour that once housed a yacht club. Olga Polizzi designed the hotel, which belongs to the Polizzi Collection, and its terraces step down towards the water and the Carrick Roads, with St Anthony's lighthouse in view. A beach club sits on the waterfront, and the classic Italian racing yacht Pinuccia is moored off the front.
Weddings range from the two of you up to 70 guests. The cinema and the bar lounge are both licensed for civil ceremonies, and the fourteenth-century church of St Just in Roseland is close by. Champagne and canapes are served on the sea-view terraces, and dinner takes place in the restaurant, which cooks Cornish seafood and produce in a Mediterranean style, or at a long table on the terrace. From October to mid March the whole hotel can be taken on exclusive use, including its 30 bedrooms, most with sea views. Truro and its station are about 40 minutes away and Newquay Airport about 50 minutes.

Tresanton is a group of whitewashed buildings above the water in St Mawes, a former yacht club that Olga Polizzi turned into a hotel. It forms part of the Polizzi Collection and looks across the Carrick Roads to St Anthony's lighthouse.

Civil ceremonies take place in the cinema or the bar lounge, both licensed, or at the church of St Just in Roseland nearby. Champagne and canapes follow on the sea-view terraces.

The restaurant overlooks the sea and cooks Cornish seafood and produce with a Mediterranean touch. On a fine evening a long table is laid on the terrace, and the hotel's own ice cream is a fixture of the day.

From October to mid March the hotel can be taken whole, with its 30 bedrooms, terraces and beach club. Below the hotel the beach club sits on the water, and the Pinuccia lies off the front.
