Frequently asked questions

Saint John Hotel Villas and Spa

When is the best time of year to marry at Saint John?

The wedding season runs from May to October. June, July and September are the most popular months. July and August are the hottest and busiest, while May, June and September bring slightly cooler days, fewer crowds in Mykonos town and often easier availability.

Can couples of any denomination use the Agia Fotini chapel?

Agia Fotini is a Greek Orthodox chapel, and a Greek Orthodox religious ceremony needs at least one of the couple to be Orthodox. Civil and symbolic ceremonies of any faith or none can take place in the chapel and in the outdoor spaces, and the team can advise on officiants and celebrants.

How do guests get from the airport to the resort?

Mykonos International Airport is four kilometres away, about 10 to 15 minutes by taxi or private transfer, and the resort can arrange transfers on request. The new port at Tourlos is six kilometres away, and the private pier receives guests arriving by yacht or water taxi.

Can we bring our own planner and suppliers?

Yes. The resort works with outside planners, florists, photographers, videographers, entertainers and stylists, and also has preferred partners. All outside suppliers must be approved in advance by the venue coordinator. Catering stays in-house.

How late can music and entertainment continue?

Indoor entertainment in the reception halls can usually run into the early hours. Outdoor amplified music on the terraces and beach is subject to local noise rules, which generally end it by midnight or 1am depending on the location.

Is there a minimum number of guests?

No. The resort hosts intimate celebrations from two guests up to weddings of 800. Final costs depend on guest numbers, the spaces chosen, the menu and the season.

Can the resort host guests with reduced mobility?

The resort has accessibility provisions across the property. Couples with guests who have specific needs should mention them at the time of enquiry so that suitable spaces and rooms can be arranged.

How far ahead should we book?

For peak dates in June, July and September, enquire at least twelve to eighteen months ahead, especially for larger weddings or exclusive use. Dates in May and October may be available at shorter notice.

Can we arrive by yacht?

Yes. A private pier receives couples and guests arriving by yacht or water taxi, and Delos is a short boat trip away for private excursions.
