Art Hotel Villa Agape is a Renaissance villa on the Arcetri hill above Florence, beside Piazzale Michelangelo and close to the observatory. The house has origins in 1472 and was rebuilt in 1602 by Giulio di Filippo Arrighetti, and it was once owned by the Duchess of Aosta. Its ochre walls are hung with art, and formal Italian gardens fall away from it in box-hedge parterres, with statues, fountains and a Nymphaeum.
Weddings can be held in the gardens, at the Nymphaeum or in the villa salons, with ceremonies for up to 200 guests. The event halls take receptions of up to 250, while the panoramic terraces and the La Limonaia bar look across the domes and rooftops of the city. The wedding breakfast is served at La Duchessa restaurant. The villa has 32 rooms and suites, from Classic doubles to the Suite Duchessa, and a complimentary shuttle runs to central Florence, where the Duomo and the Uffizi are only minutes away.

The villa dates from 1472 and was rebuilt in 1602 by Giulio di Filippo Arrighetti. It once belonged to the Duchess of Aosta. Today an ochre house hung with art stands on the Arcetri hill, close to Piazzale Michelangelo and the observatory, looking over the rooftops and domes of Florence.

Formal gardens drop down the hillside in box-hedge parterres, with statues, fountains and a Nymphaeum. Couples can exchange vows among them or at the Nymphaeum itself, or inside the villa's salons.

Aperitivi are served at La Limonaia with the city spread below, and the event halls take receptions for up to 250 guests. La Duchessa serves the wedding breakfast, and a complimentary shuttle links the villa to central Florence.

The 32 rooms and suites run from Classic and Superior doubles to Junior Suites and the Suite Duchessa. Period furnishings, ornate headboards and terracotta floors set the tone, and several rooms look to the gardens or the city.
