Restored sixteenth-century riverside residence on the Arno, owned by the Ferragamo family, Florence, Tuscany
Hotel Lungarno is a restored sixteenth-century residence on the Arno in Florence, with views of the Ponte Vecchio, a licence for civil ceremonies and exclusive-use hire.
Hotel Lungarno is the flagship property of the Lungarno Collection, owned by the Ferragamo family. It occupies a restored sixteenth-century residence on Borgo San Jacopo in Florence, with views over the Arno and the Ponte Vecchio. Architect Michele Bönan designed the interiors in a classical idiom, pairing ivory fabrics and ocean-blue carpets with antique furnishings. More than 450 works of art, including pieces by Cocteau, Picasso, Bueno and Rosai, hang in the public areas, rooms and suites. The hotel reopened after a full redevelopment on 1 June 2017.
The hotel can be taken for exclusive use and holds a licence for civil ceremonies, with seated dining available and a choice of in-house or private catering. Palazzo Capponi is used for receptions, gala evenings and meetings, and the Borgo San Jacopo restaurant, a dining room on the river, suits smaller celebrations. Treatments are offered at the White Iris Beauty Spa in the sister hotel, Continentale, just across the Arno.

Hotel Lungarno is a restoration of a grand sixteenth-century residence on Borgo San Jacopo, overlooking the Arno and the Ponte Vecchio. A new chapter began for the building in 1995, and it is owned by the Ferragamo family as the flagship of the Lungarno Collection.

Architect Michele Bönan drew on a classical sensibility, balancing ivory-toned fabrics and ocean-blue carpets with antique furniture. More than 450 works of art, among them pieces by Cocteau, Picasso, Bueno and Rosai, hang in public areas, rooms and suites, and a Picasso design sits above the fireplace in the guest room living areas.

The hotel can be hired for exclusive use and is licensed for civil ceremonies. Palazzo Capponi hosts receptions and gala evenings, while the Borgo San Jacopo restaurant, known as the dining room on the river, serves seasonal menus rooted in Italian cooking with a contemporary turn.
