Ca' Sagredo is a 15th-century Venetian Gothic palazzo on the Grand Canal at Campo Santa Sofia in Cannaregio, next to the Ca' d'Oro. Formerly the residence of the Morosini and then the Sagredo family, it is a National Monument and works as both a hotel and a museum. Frescoes and canvases by Sebastiano Ricci, Giambattista Tiepolo, Pietro Longhi and Nicolo Bambini decorate its rooms, and a staircase by Andrea Tirali leads up from the water entrance to the piano nobile.
Weddings use the frescoed Sala della Musica, the long Portego with its Gothic windows over the canal, and a rooftop terrace above the city. A wedding breakfast seats around 110, the ballroom takes up to about 180 for a reception, and ceremonies can reach around 200. The hotel's own kitchen at L'Alcova caters, serving Venetian and modern Italian dishes. About 42 rooms and suites let the wedding party stay in the palazzo. Guests arrive by water, with a vaporetto stop at the door, and the Rialto Bridge is about ten minutes on foot.
