Amagatay Menorca is a nineteenth-century estate of marés stone and exposed beams near Alaior, in the quiet interior of the island. It was reworked as a boutique agroturismo and sits among olive groves, dry-stone walls and wildflower fields. Twenty double rooms, restored within the old buildings, sleep forty, and a pool lies in the gardens.
The estate is let as a full privatisation, and only a limited number of weddings are taken each year. Ceremonies are held in the gardens or among the olive trees, and long banquet tables are set out on the terraces and in the groves for up to 300 guests, with the stone rooms as an indoor alternative. The hotel's own kitchen, led by chef Jose Maria Borras, cooks with Menorcan and Mediterranean produce. The hotel is adults only day to day but opens to children for a full buyout. Menorca Airport is about twenty minutes away by road, and the south-coast beaches are a short drive.

A Menorcan estate reimagined
Amagatay is a nineteenth-century estate of marés stone and exposed beams, reworked as a boutique agroturismo near Alaior. It was formerly known as Antic Menorca. Olive groves, dry-stone walls and wildflower fields surround it, in the calm interior of a UNESCO biosphere island.

Ceremonies and long tables outdoors
The gardens and olive groves hold the ceremony, and long banquet tables are laid on the terraces and among the trees, dressed with candlelight, for up to 300 guests. If the evening calls for shelter, dinners can be held in the stone rooms of the estate.

The kitchen and the table
The hotel's own kitchen, under chef Jose Maria Borras, cooks the wedding menus from Menorcan and Mediterranean produce, from a relaxed island lunch to a seated dinner for the full guest list.

Staying on the estate
Twenty double rooms, restored within the old buildings, keep the marés stone and beams but feel calm and contemporary. Together they sleep 40, and the pool and gardens fill the days either side of the wedding.

Amagatay Menorca
Where is Amagatay Menorca?
The estate stands at Finca Torralba Gran, close to Alaior in the quiet interior of the island. Menorca Airport (MAH) is about 20 minutes away, and the setting is olive groves and wildflower countryside.
How many guests can a wedding at Amagatay hold?
Up to 300 guests can be hosted for a ceremony and banquet, spread across the gardens, the terraces and the olive groves.
Is the whole estate ours for the wedding?
Yes. Amagatay is let as a full privatisation and takes a limited number of weddings each year, so the property, gardens and groves belong to the couple for the celebration.
Where do guests stay?
The estate has 20 double rooms, restored within the old buildings, which sleep 40 between them. The wedding party and guests stay on site, in the countryside.
Can children come to the wedding?
Day to day the hotel is for adults only, but it welcomes children when it is taken as a full buyout, so families can be part of the celebration.
Who cooks for the wedding?
Catering is in-house. The hotel's own kitchen, led by chef Jose Maria Borras, cooks with Menorcan and Mediterranean produce, served in the gardens and on the terraces.
What kind of ceremony can we have?
Ceremonies take place in the gardens, among the olive groves or in the stone rooms of the estate. The team can advise on symbolic and legal ceremonies in Menorca.
What does a wedding cost?
Full privatisation starts from €12,000 per night. The team then builds a bespoke proposal around the date, the guest numbers and the length of the buyout.
Is there a pool, and how far are the beaches?
A pool sits in the gardens for the days around the wedding. The south-coast beaches, including Cala'n Porter, are a short drive away.
