Ester Chianelli was born in Naples and trained in marine biology before working as a television correspondent in more than thirty countries. She left science at twenty three, entered events, and went on to found her own Italian wedding agency.
She works across ten destinations: the Amalfi Coast, Lake Como, Tuscany, Umbria, Lake Maggiore, Sicily, Puglia, Rome, Lake Garda and Venice. She takes fifteen couples a year, so that there is room for the events around the wedding as well as the wedding itself.
Her strength is spatial design. She composes a room before she dresses a table, and a couple's first deliverable is a wedding lookbook drawn in Procreate or painted in watercolour. Her right hand, Alessandra, runs coordination beside her.
Her terms are set out openly: a fee of ten per cent of the total budget, no commission from suppliers, and discounts negotiated for the couple. Her team's work has appeared in Elle, Style Me Pretty and Destination I Do, and she holds a 5.0 rating across 16 Google reviews.
A Wedding Concierge service looks after guests with transport, welcome packages and restaurant reservations made by telephone in Italian.

Ester is a dream. I couldn’t say enough great things about her. We met three+ years ago and had to put my wedding on pause. After touring venues and regions. Taking the train due to me having my sweet dog. She was more than understanding. When I decided I was ready again she was willing to even plan for me in Mexico. But alas my dream was too strong and set in Italy. I was postpartum while planning and a bit emotional and nervous that things wouldn’t be as I wanted. In the end she exceeded expectations. I could never thank her enough for her execution, professionalism, talent, and in the end friendship. Ester pours her heart into what she does and it shows. What should we budget for the wedding itself?
She suggests starting from €1,200 per guest, covering all services, which is separate from her planning fee.
What is the payment schedule?
Forty per cent is due before planning and design begin. The remaining sixty per cent, plus any increase to the budget, is due thirty days before the wedding. Fees paid are non-refundable on cancellation.
Does she take commission from suppliers?
No. She negotiates discounts for couples instead.
How many weddings does she take?
