Flavia Bruni is a floral designer in Rome who was the first Italian to be recognised by the American Institute of Floral Design and who also holds European Master Certification.
Flavia Bruni works as a floral designer from her studio in Rome. She trained in Italy and abroad alongside leading florists, and she was the first Italian designer to be recognised by the American Institute of Floral Design (AIFD). She also holds European Master Certification (EMC).
Her weddings have ranged from ceremonies at Villa Miani and Castello di Tor Crescenza in Rome to a Jewish wedding at the Great Synagogue of Rome, where dendrobium orchid trees formed a canopy. She has also dressed a Russian wedding in the Tuscan countryside and a beach ceremony at Castello Miramare in Maccarese.
“Every flower tells a story. I translate it into beauty.”
Flavia Bruni, Floral Designer
Other venues in her portfolio include Rome Cavalieri, Waldorf Astoria, Grand Hotel des Iles Borromees in Stresa, Villa Barberino in Arezzo, Casina di Macchia Madama and San Bartolomeo all'Isola Tiberina. Giulia Sonnino is a planner she has worked alongside.
Away from weddings, she designs for corporate and private events and has shown sculptural installations at FLEURAMOUR, an international floral art exhibition at Alden Biesen Castle in Belgium, in 2017 and 2018. Her work has been featured in Sposa Moderna magazine.
She is the author of two books on floral design, both translated into English, and in 1999 she founded the Daisy Flowers School in Rome, where she still teaches.
Each wedding begins with a conversation at her Rome studio about the couple, the ceremony and the venue.
The floral scheme is shaped around the venue and the budget, covering the ceremony and the reception.
Flavia and her studio team deliver and install the flowers on the day.
