White Emotion

Alessia Santa founded White Emotion and runs it from Milan, with almost fifteen years of experience in wedding planning. Earlier in her career she worked in business, travel and hospitality, including at Walt Disney and the Hilton Hotels Group, and that background shapes the agency's emphasis on clear communication and close working relationships with suppliers throughout Italy.

A team drawn from Milan, Rome and the south of Italy supports her, working in Italian, English, French and Spanish. Destinations include the Amalfi Coast, Lake Como, Lake Garda, Milan, Puglia, Rome, Sicily, Tuscany and Venice, and the agency also designs corporate events to the same standard.

The portfolio is notable for its cultural range. It includes a Persian Sofreh Aghd beside the aperitifs on Lake Como, with rites read in Farsi; a Chinese dragon and lion dance at a Ravello reception following a ceremony on the steps of the Duomo di Amalfi, with a celebrant welcoming guests in Italian and Mandarin; a Pakistani Mehndi on a Roman museum rooftop; and a Kurdish drum session in a Tuscan courtyard.

The house style leans towards restraint. The agency favours simplicity over spectacle and adapts each setting with lighting, furnishings, linens and floral direction, so that no two weddings look alike. Celebrations can range from an intimate elopement to a party of more than 300 guests.

Alessia also teaches event and experience management at Komax and IATH, with a focus on destination weddings, and co-founded Destination Wedding Educational for planners entering the business.
