Your Secret Tuscany is a wedding planning and design studio founded in 2011 by Federica Bartolomei, who was born and raised in Tuscany.
Federica Bartolomei grew up in Tuscany and later lived in Madrid and London before settling in Dubai. She started planning weddings almost twenty years ago, holds a degree in Social Science and founded Your Secret Tuscany in 2011. Her international experience means couples from the United States, Brazil, Australia, the Middle East, India and China find a planner at ease with an overseas brief.
The studio is boutique by choice. Federica sets a ceiling of six weddings above eighty guests each season, alongside ten elopements, ten marriage proposals and four luxury parties, so that she stays closely involved in every wedding she takes on.
Each couple works with a dedicated wedding consultant and a certified wedding designer. The design process produces a colour palette and mood board, then a 3D floor plan, with a full digital rendering of the ceremony or reception for those who want to see it before anything is built.
Tuscany is home ground, with Chianti, Siena and Florence among the places where the studio has planned weddings. Lake Garda, Lake Como, Umbria and the Amalfi Coast are organised when required. Same-sex weddings are a named part of the practice, including an opera-themed celebration at a Siena castle and a Chuppah set into the balcony of a Renaissance villa.
Legal paperwork for marrying in Italy, guest accommodation and transport are handled within the service. Couples work with a selected network of local suppliers built up over more than a decade, and a senior planner coordinates in person on the day with as many assistants as the wedding needs.
Federica learns what the couple wants and the scope of the wedding before a fee is set.
