Grantley Hall is a Grade II* listed country house near Ripon in North Yorkshire, a five-star estate that combines historic architectural charm with contemporary style. Couples hold the ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast and evening celebration within the estate, with both indoor and outdoor settings, so the day stays in one place from the first vows to the late-night party. The grounds include a historic Japanese Garden, a formal Rill Garden, a Kitchen Garden and a rondel Rose Garden, and the wedding rooms range from an ornate Music Room to an underground Champagne bar. The approach brings views of the Yorkshire countryside, and the lawns and water make settings for photographs.
Weddings can take the whole venue on an exclusive-use basis, which covers the Hall, the Fountains Wing, the Garden Pavilion and the grounds, along with the dining and entertaining spaces on the estate. Weddings of more than 100 guests are required to take exclusive use. The wedding packages are a starting point, and the events team then adapts the details to the couple. Couples can bring their own photographers, florists and entertainment, and the Hall can also recommend preferred partners who work there regularly. For wet weather there are indoor ceremony spaces, and the events team prepares a contingency plan for the day.

The Music Room in the Main Hall is an ornate, historic ceremony setting, with original period features, high ceilings and plenty of natural daylight. The Grantley Suite also holds ceremonies, and the Fountains Wing Atrium is available when the entire Fountains Wing is reserved. The Summer House on the front lawn is an intimate setting for ceremonies and blessings. Outdoors, ceremonies can be held on the Front Lawns, West Lawn or Garden Pavilion. The Symphony Wedding is a smaller celebration in the Music Room, and the Intimate wedding is for two, with a ceremony followed by Afternoon Tea and dinner in one of the restaurants.
A drinks reception in The Orchard brings canapés and Champagne with views across the grounds. Guests can flow onto the West Lawn and its open-sided function space, and The Orchard has a bar, lounge furniture and lawn games. The Grantley Suite is the main large banqueting space, with a chandelier and soft lighting, a foyer, a bar and room for a stage and dancefloor. Its private terrace overlooks the Japanese Gardens. Weddings have exclusive access to Valeria's Champagne & Cocktail Bar for the after-party, with a bar, booths, a DJ booth and a dancefloor.
All 47 bedrooms and suites are individually designed and are included in exclusive use. Cosy Rooms sit in the main Hall, and Grand Suites have large seating areas, formal garden views and feature fireplaces. Superior Suites in the Fountains Wing are reached via a rooftop atrium. The Presidential Suite has a baby grand piano and a dining area, and the Royal Suite is set over two floors with views over the formal gardens and River Skell. The couple's night is in the Royal or Presidential Suite.
Catering is in-house. The team helps couples build a wedding menu from the Hall's dining options, with a menu tasting, and the wedding breakfast is four courses. The kitchen is guided by the seasons and uses ingredients of proven provenance. The sommelier chooses Champagne and wines from the cellars to complement the food, and vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other dietary needs are catered for.
