CherylFounder and wedding plannerBella Sposa was founded in 2013 with a simple aim, to give couples a personal service and weddings that reflect their own personalities and style. The office is in the historic centre of Sorrento, just behind the Grand Hotel La Favorita.
The planner, Cheryl, is British and has lived in Italy for many years, with more than twenty years of professional experience in entertainment, events and tourism. She gets to know each couple, their story, humour and interests, and works with trusted local suppliers so that no two weddings are the same.
Her service covers the booking of venues and the legal paperwork, advice on photographers, flowers, styling and decoration, and coordination of the day itself. She also helps with guest accommodation, transfers into the resort, and events before and after the wedding.
Couples keep direct contact with her. A small team assists, with at least two members present at a wedding alongside the supplier team, and she takes on generally 25 to 30 weddings per season at most.
Communication is by email and video call, with WhatsApp available nearer the date, and weekend or evening meetings are possible.
The first conversations explore the couple's story, interests and priorities, and the date and venue options.
One planning trip is usually enough for an overseas wedding, though couples are welcome to visit more often, and venue visits can be arranged.
