Haycock Manor in Wansford-in-England

Haycock Manor is a coaching inn turned country manor hotel in the village of Wansford-in-England, near Peterborough. The historic buildings keep many of their original features, and landscaped grounds and manicured gardens surround them, with the River Nene flowing through the estate. The hotel hosts one wedding at a time, so the couple has the team's undivided attention throughout the day. Weddings centre on light-filled historic spaces with oak beams, courtyards and a walled garden, and the tone throughout is relaxed rather than formal, with comfort, history and carefully sourced food and drink running through the stay.

A couple can choose a full day wedding, an Intimate Wedding Package for a small group, or a Twilight Wedding Package that begins in the late afternoon. The bedrooms blend the fabric of the old house with modern comforts, and several of the named suites are tied to characters from the manor's past. Dining is built around British cooking, from relaxed all-day dishes in the oldest parts of the building to tasting menus in the Haycock Orangery. The estate gardens and the riverside make a setting for wedding photographs. The hotel is a Gold Green Tourism member and encourages sustainable travel The kitchen works with seasonal produce, much of it fresh from the hotel gardens.
