Whitewashed masseria with trulli, turquoise pool and olive groves in the hills of Cisternino, Puglia
5.01 reviewVilla Cenci Relais Masseria is a renovated Apulian masseria near Cisternino with 34 rooms, a large pool and space for 180 wedding guests among olive groves.
Villa Cenci Relais Masseria is a whitewashed Apulian estate on the hills of Cisternino, set within 13 hectares of olive groves and countryside. The old masseria has been renovated, and its stone walls, vaulted ceilings and conical-roofed trulli give the grounds a distinctly Puglian character. The 34 rooms are arranged around the pool, in the main villa and in the seventeenth-century trulli, with recycled materials used to keep the original structure intact. The coast and the Itria Valley are both a few minutes away by car.
Weddings can be held across the estate on an exclusive-use basis, for up to 180 guests. Drinks receptions take place on the lawns beside the large pool, and the gardens, with their citrus trees, herbs and vine-covered pergolas, serve as settings for ceremonies and photographs. Courtyards and open lawns allow both small gatherings and larger marquee receptions. Menus are built around organic produce from the estate gardens, and the in-house team works with couples and planners on decoration, entertainment and timings. The estate suits multi-day celebrations, from welcome drinks to a farewell brunch, and welcomes pets. The best season runs from May to October.

Villa Cenci is an old masseria on the hills of Cisternino whose buildings have been renovated and given new life. Whitewashed walls, natural stone and conical-roofed trulli frame the grounds, and the relais doors are painted the blue of the Apulian sky and sea. The estate covers 13 hectares of natural surroundings.

Drinks and cocktails are served on the lawns beside the large turquoise pool, which becomes a setting for candlelit dinners in the evening. Gardens of citrus trees, herbs and vine-draped pergolas host ceremonies and photographs, while courtyards and wide lawns suit both intimate and larger receptions. The whole estate can be taken for a multi-day celebration.

The kitchen draws on organic produce grown in the estate gardens and the flavours of the Itria Valley. Wedding menus are written to order, and the experiences on offer include wine tastings, olive oil ceremonies and cooking classes.

We celebrated our wedding at Villa Cenci and it was nothing short of magical. The venue itself is stunning, offering a variety of beautiful spaces both indoors and outdoors that provided the perfect backdrop for our special day. What truly set Villa Cenci apart, however, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible.
