Elegante by Michelle J is a luxury wedding planning service based in London. Founder and lead planner Michelle Jacobs combines close attention to detail with a creative eye, and describes her approach to service as a hug, not a handshake.

The business specialises in destination weddings overseas and in UK wedding weekends. Michelle works with couples living in the UK and abroad, and draws on long experience and established industry contacts to design and deliver each celebration.

UK weddings with a destination element are a growing part of the work. Beyond planning and co-ordinating the day itself, Michelle helps to find a suitable venue for a wedding weekend and arranges travel, accommodation and the wider hospitality around it, so that guests have time together over the whole weekend.

Most couples choose the full planning, design and co-ordination service, and only a small number of weddings are taken each year so that each receives proper attention. Once the year's schedule is set, a limited number of places open for the On the Day PLUS service or a bespoke partial planning service, both of which follow the same warm, careful approach.

Michelle's weddings have been featured in You & Your Wedding, she has been a regional finalist at The Wedding Industry Awards, and she has spoken at industry events including Wed-x Italia.
