Gustav Fouche

Gustav Fouche is a hairstylist born in South Africa who has worked in the industry since 2003. He is Style Director at the Michael Van Clarke salon in Marylebone, a position that places him among the more sought-after stylists in London.

His work covers red-carpet appearances, runway shows, editorial shoots and television commercials, and he has styled for designers and publications as well as well-known clients. Names associated with his career include Kate Hudson, Gal Gadot and LeAnn Rimes.

Bridal styling has become a particular strength. He is a regular stylist for You and Your Wedding and for Brides and Wedding magazines, with a number of front covers to his credit, and he leads the team that styles the catwalk at BRIDES, The Show. He also appears as a guest speaker, giving demonstrations and sharing trend insights.

He has completed around 500 weddings, travelling worldwide for bridal clients that include designer Jenny Packham and the marriage of Peter Andre and Emily. His approach pairs classic styles with a modern twist, from precise up-dos to polished blow-dries.

On the fashion side he has worked with Oscar de la Renta and Matthew Williamson, and with bridal designers Caroline Castigliano, Sassi Holford and Suzanne Neville. He has won awards including Bridal Stylist of the Year in South Africa, has worked with photographer Rankin, and is a bridal and red-carpet educator for Wella UK.
