PhotoFairytales is a small independent gift business established in 2009. Sarah Thexton designs, makes and personalises almost everything sold on the site, working from a studio in the family home in Norfolk.
Sarah trained in art and design and has a background in theatre and publishing, and the shop grew out of a wish to have a creative outlet of her own. Her designs lean towards classic styles, kept fresh by attention to current colours and textures in home decor.
The Norfolk countryside and coast shape the work, with soft colours, wide skies and Nordic-style architecture all feeding into new ranges. A small number of other British artisans and makers are also featured alongside her own pieces.
Gifts are made to order and cover weddings, anniversaries, christenings, birthdays and new babies, as well as gifts for the home. The emphasis is on considered, lasting keepsakes rather than disposable presents, and UK postage is free.
