The KM Events team and KM Events
KM Events is a luxury wedding and event company based in Istanbul, open since 1995. It plans, designs and produces weddings and events in Turkey, across Europe and in the Middle East, and has welcomed couples from Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Pakistan and India.
The founder, Meltem Bayazıt Tepeler, was the founding president of YEPUD, the Turkish event association, from 2007 to 2014, and has been founding president of TUED, the International Events Association of Turkey, since 2019. She sits on the board of the European chapter of the International Live Events Association and is vice president of its Turkey chapter.
She wrote Weddings and İstanbul, a book on destination weddings in Turkey published in 2010 and 2012, and founded and teaches the Event Management Certificate Program at Boğaziçi University's lifelong education centre.
The company's weddings in Turkey have taken place in settings such as Çırağan Palace Kempinski, Rixos Tersane, Princes' Palace Resort and the Shangri-La Bosphorus, as well as in Bodrum and Antalya. It has also created destination weddings for international couples in London, Santorini, Lake Como, Barcelona and the UAE, and runs the Table Design Exhibition in Turkey.
