Dream Weddings By Francesca Resciniti

Francesca Resciniti runs her planning studio from Rome. Before weddings she took a degree in foreign languages and spent eight years as a technical translator for IBM, then joined another wedding planner who needed a partner to handle her enquiries. The two still work together, with a team behind them: Francesca's studio is in Rome and her partner's is in Tuscany, which lets them cover much of central Italy between them.

Most of her couples live abroad and come to Italy to marry. Her team concentrates on Rome, Tuscany, the Amalfi Coast and Cinque Terre, and travels further when a couple asks. The weddings on her site include Villa Miani, Villa Aurelia and Hotel de la Ville in Rome, the Orsini-Odescalchi Castle at Bracciano, Villa La Ferdinanda at Artimino, Villa Il Garofalo near Florence, Castelfalfi, Positano and Ravello, and Hotel Pitrizza in Sardinia.

“Throughout my career, I have shaped my work around a simple belief: what many perceive as obstacles are, in fact, opportunities to create something truly exceptional.”

Francesca Resciniti, founder

She takes no more than 12 weddings a year so that each couple has her full attention. Packages are built around the couple, from paperwork alone to day-of coordination, though she prefers to handle the whole plan. She also works as a wedding designer, choosing colour palettes, decor, flowers and lighting with the couple.

Paperwork is a large part of the job. Francesca guides couples through civil and Catholic weddings, the Nulla Osta, Atto Notorio and certificates of no impediment, sworn translations and booking the town hall or church. She is an ordained officiant and leads symbolic ceremonies herself; her team includes celebrants who speak English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and German.

The scale runs from elopements for two, including same-sex elopements in Tuscany, to large weddings in villas and castles. In 2014 she was the face of Matrimonio all'italiana, a wedding programme on Sposa TV.

How they work

From the first message to the day itself

  1. 01First conversation

Couples send their details through the contact page and get a personal reply within 24 to 48 hours, followed by a private consultation where needed. Francesca uses the first call to learn what the couple wants.

  2. 02Budget and priorities

She breaks down the costs and helps the couple fix their priorities so the plan stays within budget.

  3. 03Venue and suppliers

She proposes venues and suppliers from her own network, negotiates contracts, and will work with suppliers the couple has chosen.

  4. 04Design and paperwork

A shared presentation file holds the palette, inspiration images, timeline and supplier details. Meanwhile she handles the legal documents for a civil or religious wedding, or plans the symbolic ceremony.

  5. 05Wedding week

She meets the couple for a final briefing before the day, and can meet them at the venue the day before if needed.

  6. 06The day

She arrives hours before the ceremony, around 11am for an afternoon wedding and about 7am for a morning one, and coordinates every supplier's arrival, set-up and delivery.

Wedding in Rome

My daughter’s wedding was on Saturday, 22.07.2023 in Rome, and living in Zurich, we relied on Francesca who followed all the bureaucratic formalities and contacts with the various vendors and was always willing to clear up any doubts in very few minutes. On the wedding day she was our guardian angel and followed everything step by step. Francesca is everything I like in a woman, she is empathetic but firm in advising you if you are going astray, she is decisive and confident with class, she is ready to solve unexpected problems without losing heart. Do not look any further ❤️
