More than Weddings is a planning and design agency based in the Veneto, with offices in Treviso, Venice, Verona and on Lake Garda. Most of its couples live outside Italy and choose it as a destination, so the agency is set up to run the whole process at a distance, by email and video call, with site inspections and supplier presentations also held online when a couple cannot travel.
The agency is run by its two founders. Marta Maioli grew up on Lake Garda, worked in fashion and film while at university and later took a degree in journalism. Cristiana Venturini was born in Asolo, lives near Venice and worked as a commercial manager in the fashion industry, organising events and coordinating teams. Both are celebrants, so they can lead a symbolic ceremony themselves. They work in English, German and Italian.

More than Weddings
Home ground is the Veneto: Verona and Valpolicella, Venice, Asolo, Lake Garda and the Dolomites. The agency also publishes destination pages for Tuscany, the Amalfi Coast, Apulia, Sardinia and Sicily, and says it works wherever it is needed in Italy and abroad. Recent weddings on its site include a ceremony in the courtyard of Castello di San Salvatore, a Lake Garda wedding taking in Sirmione and Torre San Marco, and receptions at Quercia al Poggio in Tuscany and at a masseria in Apulia.
Planning starts with an email and a video call. There is no price list: the agency asks for the couple's budget, says it does not only take luxury weddings, and builds a personalised proposal from a supplier network that varies in style and price. Booking is confirmed with a signed agreement and a deposit. It helps with documents for civil and religious weddings, including Orthodox, Indian, Jewish and Muslim ceremonies.
Beyond the day itself it arranges transfers, accommodation, rehearsal dinners, a brunch the day after, tours, wine tastings and boat trips on Lake Garda, as well as proposals, elopements, hen and stag parties, honeymoons and private and corporate events.
