Denise More plans and designs destination weddings in Italy from a studio in Rome that she established in 2018. She works mainly with international couples, from the United States, England and Ireland among them, and many of their weddings run over two to four days, with a welcome party, the wedding itself and a farewell. She takes a limited number of celebrations each year and reviews every application personally before agreeing to a wedding.
She came to weddings from advertising. After a degree in graphics and multimedia design she moved to Barcelona for a master's in communication and art direction and stayed eight years, aiming to become an art director, before turning to events. That training shows in the design side of the work: one direction carried from the first conversation to the last farewell, with the planning, styling and on-site coordination handled by the same studio.
“Because a wedding shouldn’t just be beautiful, it must have a soul.”
Denise More, founder
Rome is home ground. Villa Miani and Villa Aurelia recur in her portfolio, as does the Basilica dei Santi Giovanni e Paolo with its rows of chandeliers, and she has worked on the Lazio coast at Castello Odescalchi di Palo and on the island of Ponza. Beyond Lazio she works in Tuscany (Tenuta di Artimino, a Medici estate), Umbria (Castello di Petrata and the Abbazia di San Pietro in Valle), Puglia (Masseria Montenapoleone), the Amalfi Coast and Capri, Lake Como and Lake Maggiore.
Several of her weddings have joined two cultures over one weekend: Indian and Chinese traditions at Castello di Petrata, Iranian and Californian at Masseria Montenapoleone. At Tenuta di Artimino a storm broke minutes before the ceremony and her team moved it indoors in seven minutes.
She works with a team of four: Claudia, assistant wedding planner and on-site coordinator; Viviana and Luca, event assistants covering styling and guest hospitality; and Martina, who creates content and social media on the day. In 2022 Lux Life Magazine named her Best Wedding Planner and Stylist in Rome, and the Wedding Planners Pro business community named her Best Destination Wedding Planner in Italy.
