Victoria Amrose leads Victoria Amrose Photography & Film from Shrewsbury in Shropshire. She graduated with a BSc and a PhD before turning to wedding photography, and now has fourteen years of weddings and editorial work behind her. She photographs every wedding herself, covering elopements and smaller days alone and bringing in members of her own in-house team as second photographer, videographer or content creator when a day is larger or a couple wants film as well.
Her style is clean, light and warm, with true-to-colour tones and an editorial finish. Most of the day is photographed as it happens, quietly and from among the guests, with natural light where possible and flash for the evening and the dance floor. For couple portraits and family groups she steps in and directs, offering as much guidance on posing as a couple wants; she describes most of the people she works with as having little experience in front of a camera.
“I capture your day as it unfolds naturally, blending candid documentary photography with carefully composed, editorial-inspired portraits.”

Before the wedding she gets to know what matters most to the couple and plans around it, and she always prepares a shoot plan for bad weather. For larger weddings, or when two people are getting ready in separate places, she usually recommends a second photographer from her team; for a day with around 100 guests or fewer she generally works alone. She carries backup cameras, lenses and lighting, and her cameras record every frame to two memory cards.
Shropshire, Cheshire and Wales are home ground, with weddings at Hawkstone Hall, Combermere Abbey, Adlington Hall and Tyn Dwr Hall, as well as Shooters Hill Hall. Abroad she works most often in France, at chateaux including Chateau du Grand Val in Brittany and Chateau de Bouthonvilliers, and in Italy, including Lake Como and the Amalfi Coast. She also travels to Spain, Portugal, Croatia, Greece, Ireland and Scotland, and arrives a few days early for weddings abroad to scout locations.
Couples receive a preview within 72 hours and the full gallery within six weeks, delivered as full-resolution and web-sized files in a private online gallery, with at least 75 edited photographs for each hour of coverage. Her albums are bespoke Italian albums that she designs herself, and she also offers parent albums, wall art and prints, a pre-wedding shoot, and a roll of 35mm film shot alongside the digital coverage.
