18th-century masseria among olive groves · Mola di Bari, Puglia
5.01 reviewAn ancient Masseria near Mola di Bari, run by the Pinto family, with olive groves, an illuminated courtyard and a kitchen using its own garden.
Tenuta Pinto is an ancient 18th-century Masseria in the Apulian countryside near Mola di Bari, owned and run by the Pinto family as both a residence and a place of culinary excellence. The family bought the estate to create a setting for weddings in the Apulian countryside, and the whole property can be taken for exclusive use. Olive groves surround the Masseria, and the grounds offer many fabulous locations for a wedding; weddings of all sizes are welcome, from the most intimate to larger celebrations. Every event can be customised according to the couple's wishes, with the estate's own spaces and kitchen shaping the day.
Weddings here are rooted in Apulian traditions and in the warmth and hospitality that mark the Pinto family's approach. The estate has a small collection of suites and rooms with an intimate country retreat feel for guests who stay. The kitchen is the estate's own, and the food draws on the vegetable garden, on local seasonal ingredients and on regional recipes. Outdoors, the olive grove, the 'finale' and the illuminated courtyard are the settings in which the celebration takes place. That warmth runs from the welcome through to the table, and the result is a wedding that feels closely tied to its place in Apulia.

The olive grove, the 'finale' and the illuminated outdoor courtyard are the locations on the estate where ceremonies can be held. The courtyard is where outdoor weddings can be carried out. There is no minimum number of guests. A ceremony can be as intimate as a couple wishes, and weddings are welcome for couples of every kind. The courtyard is illuminated, and that lighting is a feature of the courtyard setting.

A reception begins with a welcoming aperitif, followed by a chef's cooking show and appetisers. The appetisers show the range of Apulian cuisine, from cold cuts and cheeses to raw fish and fresh vegetables from the estate's garden. Meals can be served seated or as a buffet, and the Masseria's Apulian street food booths offer panzerotti, dairy products and other local recipes. Weddings of up to 200 guests can be hosted. Every wedding here can be the setting for a traditional Apulian celebration.

Suites and apartments in the Masseria sleep a maximum of 21 guests. Rooms blend traditional charm with modern amenities, including air conditioning and a smart TV. The Junior Suite has a private whirlpool in the bathroom, and the Standard Deluxe Room has a Turkish bathroom and a private solarium terrace. Some rooms are adapted for disabled guests, there is no limit on the days of stay, and agreements with nearby bed and breakfasts and hotels are available for larger wedding parties.

Both the cuisine and the pastry are made in house by the estate's own kitchen team, led by the Executive Chef. His background spans traditional Italian and international cuisines, Parisian nouvelle cuisine and Michelin-starred restaurants. A Km0 philosophy prioritises local, seasonal ingredients from the estate's gardens or nearby producers, and the kitchen works with under-oil products, homemade products, legumes and extra virgin olive oil.

We planned our entire wedding at Tenuta Pinto remotely from Australia, and it was an absolute dream come true. Chiara and the whole team were incredibly helpful, responsive, and supportive every step of the way. The venue is truly stunning, even more beautiful in person, with such a special atmosphere. The food was out of this world, the service was flawless, and every detail was handled with care. The Pinto family have truly created magic, our guests are still raving about it! We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate. Thank you, Tenuta Pinto!
