Sante Weddings

Santé Weddings & Events is a wedding planning and styling studio in Amsterdam, led by Emilva Tervoort. The studio plans weddings across the Netherlands and abroad for national and international couples, with a personalised approach from the first conversation to the last guest's departure.

Emilva was born in Amsterdam and spent part of her childhood in Jakarta and Amstelveen. She studied Hospitality & Event Management in Rotterdam and worked at a range of events, from corporate gatherings to sports tournaments, before starting her own business. The studio has been planning weddings since 2015.

Many of the couples are international, and the studio has planned weddings for clients living in cities from New York and Los Angeles to London, Singapore and Shanghai. It is used to blending cultures and traditions, from Chinese tea ceremonies to multi-day wedding weekends, and to planning remotely for couples who cannot visit the venue beforehand.

The portfolio is centred on Amsterdam and the surrounding country: city hotels such as the Rosewood, the Waldorf Astoria and the Pulitzer, canal-side houses, churches, castles and country estates. Destination work has taken the team to the Amalfi Coast, Tuscany, Paris, Bali and Tulum.

Couples hold their own contracts with every supplier, so they see real prices with no commission or mark-up from the studio, which reviews contracts and monitors payments on their behalf. The team also offers styling and design on its own for couples who already have a planner.
