MY Event Design is a full-service luxury event design, planning and management company based in Amman, Jordan. It was founded by Majeda Kassir Bisharat and her two daughters, Maysam and Sewar Bisharat, and Majeda leads the studio as Creative Director.
Majeda trained in fashion design and Italian at the Istituto Callegari in Treviso, and opened the Amman boutique La Coquette in 1981. Her first event was an engagement party for a client, and she has since planned wedding celebrations for up to a thousand guests as well as corporate events and smaller private occasions. She draws on fashion weeks in London, Milan, Paris and New York for ideas.
Sewar Bisharat studied at University College London and worked at Royal Dutch Shell for four years before joining the company. She leads business development and has secured destination weddings for the studio outside Jordan.
The team works across consultation, concept, design, planning and management of each event. Weddings and engagements sit alongside corporate events, dinners, anniversaries, parties and baby showers. The company works in Jordan and takes events across the Middle East and Europe, including destination weddings wherever the couple chooses.
Each wedding is designed in detail, from floral tablescapes and floor plans to the couple's entrance, printed stationery and screen content, so that the setting feels made for that couple.
From the first message to the day itself
- 01Consultation and agreement
An initial meeting covers the scope of the event, estimated guest count, key objectives, budget, timeline and expectations. A contract follows, and a 50% deposit secures a place on the studio's client schedule.
- 02Planning
The team contacts the vendors and suppliers it works with, builds the timeline of execution, and sources and reserves furniture rentals, entertainment, audio-visuals, catering and bartenders. The wedding day schedule and logistics are worked out in this phase.
- 03Design
The design phase produces in-depth design boards, 2D floor plans and floral tablescape designs. It covers the entrance for the couple and for guests, visual content for screens and video mapping, and branded items such as table cards, escort cards, menus, welcome notes and the weekend itinerary.
- 04Celebration
The team manages event set-up and decor installation, coordinates all vendors during set-up, and runs the timeline and schedule on the day.
