Cherry On Top is led by Ellen Schwick, a certified wedding planner who grew up in Salzburg. She trained and worked in marketing, communication and event management before returning home and setting up her own business. Since 2018 she has planned more than 100 weddings for couples, many of them with international guests.
The studio's approach joins planning with design. Ellen develops a moodboard around each couple's style, colours, materials and decoration elements, matched to the venue and the order of the day, then carries it through with the florists, pastry chefs, graphic designers and other suppliers involved. A small decoration stock, kept in her own store, is available to couples she plans for at no extra charge.

The weddings she shows are set in and around Salzburg: baroque and castle settings in the city, a marquee above a lake in the Salzkammergut, a mountain chapel above 1,100 metres, a lakeside jetty on Lake Traunsee and a winter wedding in the Leoganger Steinberge. They range from classic and elegant to bohemian, with themes drawn from the couple's own backgrounds, from a Japanese-Austrian celebration to a Persian ceremony on a lake boat.
Ellen works as a single point of contact. For couples who want help with only part of the planning, she offers location search, supplier organisation and coordination, and day-of support. She says a back-up is always arranged in case she is unavailable. Her work has placed several times at the Austrian Wedding Awards, including gold in 2023 and 2025, and she joined the awards jury in 2026.

Couples start with a no-obligation, free first conversation to talk through the wedding they imagine, the number of guests and the kind of ceremony.
- 02A tailored proposal
Ellen prepares an individual cost proposal. Pricing is calculated for each wedding rather than from a fixed package.
- 03Location search and suppliers
She checks the availability of venues that suit the style and budget, then briefs suppliers such as celebrants, caterers, pastry chefs, florists, musicians, photographers, hair and make-up artists, pyrotechnics and boat or shuttle services, and reviews their offers with the couple.
- 04Moodboard and design
Colours, materials and decoration elements are brought together in a moodboard that reflects the venue and the order of the day, and then produced with the suppliers involved.
- 05Coordination on the day
Ellen coordinates the timeline with the venue and every supplier, is the main contact for guests, places the guest gifts and sets up the decoration within the time the venue allows.

Yes. Many of the weddings shown involve international guests, and the studio's website is published in German and English.
