Botias is a bridal hair and makeup service founded by Boe Wright, who has nineteen years in the industry and works from a studio just outside Stansted in Essex.

Botias

Boe Wright has spent nineteen years in bridal hair and makeup and built Botias around three kinds of wedding: a UK wedding, a destination wedding abroad and an Asian wedding. Each is planned on its own terms rather than as a single generic booking.

For weddings in the UK, she recommends a trial three to four months ahead at her own studio near Stansted. On the day she does the hair and makeup first and then stays, helping with the dress, fastenings, veil and headpiece and adjusting details up to the walk down the aisle.

Destination weddings are treated as a whole trip. Boe has travelled worldwide and looks after the occasions either side of the ceremony, from pre-wedding dinners to pool-party glamour, with touch-ups and look changes offered throughout.

For Asian weddings she is qualified in dupatta and jewellery setting, and also styles big hair built with padding and extensions. Larger bridal parties are supported by the Botias Agency, a trained team of five artists.

Boe also teaches, through a mentoring programme of one-to-one lessons, masterclasses and online tutorials for other artists, and her portfolio includes credited editorial shoots at Ragley Hall and the Marble Hall at Stowe.
