Angela Salzano has specialised in wedding planning since 2013. She moved to London in 2019 and noticed that more and more couples there wanted to marry in Italy or Malta, so she narrowed her work to destination weddings in those two countries. She now works from offices in London, Salerno and Malta.
She takes on one wedding a week. The reason she gives is that she can give each couple her full attention and oversee every detail herself, and she offers only bespoke services, with no standard wedding packages. Alongside her own team she draws on access to more than 500 venues and a network of around 1,000 selected suppliers across Italy and Malta.
“I believe in magic, fairy tales, and the power of love, drawing inspiration from nature, art, and the emotions that make each wedding unique.”
Angela Salzano, destination wedding planner
Her approach is built on three parts: planning, covering venue selection, vendor management, logistics and timelines; design, with a concept, colours, set-ups and details drawn from the couple's story; and coordination on the day, when she manages the suppliers and deals with anything unforeseen. She describes herself as drawing inspiration from nature, art and the emotions that make each wedding different.
She works across Lake Como, Lake Garda and Verona, Tuscany, Umbria and Marche, the Amalfi Coast, Puglia and Sicily, as well as Malta and Gozo. Her weddings include a three-day celebration with a welcome dinner and pool party, a lakeside wedding near Verona, and a wedding in an abbey and villa near Salerno.
Marriage proposals are a second strand of the business. She arranges them in Italy and Malta, from a sunset picnic or a vineyard setting to an aperitif with a sea view or a private boat, and she also offers vegan wedding planning, symbolic ceremonies and vow renewals, and help with paperwork and translations.
