Twenty weddings a season

Cygnus Events is a boutique wedding planning studio based in Mallorca, specialising in bespoke destination weddings for an international clientele. It is led by Viviana Fortunato, CEO and Creative Director, with wedding planner Irene Lladó. The studio limits its calendar to a maximum of 20 weddings each season so that every couple has a close, discreet working relationship with the team.

A design-led approach

Each celebration starts from the couple’s story and develops into a concept with its own design, rather than a repeated template. Viviana trained in Cultural Heritage in Milan and completed a master’s degree in Interior Design in Florence, and the studio’s work carries that design-led, architectural sensibility.

Mallorca and beyond

Mallorca is the home base, with weddings in historic fincas, private villas, seaside estates and landmarks such as the Son Marroig pavilion at Deià. The team also plans weddings in Seville, Catalonia and the Costa Brava, and across Italy in Tuscany, Lake Como, the Amalfi Coast, Puglia and Sicily. Planning runs in English, Spanish and Italian.

Working with the team

The planners work with a network of caterers, editorial photographers, floral designers, lighting designers and stylists, and couples remain free to bring their own suppliers. The studio offers full planning, creative direction and design, and the guest experience for multi-day celebrations. Luxury weddings in Spain typically start at 60,000 euros, according to the studio, and the planning fee is agreed at the start.
