Kit Kemp in a Regency building
Haymarket Hotel, a Firmdale hotel, stands between Trafalgar Square and the theatres of the West End, in a Regency building by John Nash, who also designed the nearby Haymarket Theatre. Behind the Regency facade Kit Kemp has layered colour, texture and bespoke craftsmanship through every room.

The pool room and the Shooting Gallery
The most dramatic space is the Swimming Pool Room, with an illuminated 18-metre pool at its centre, marble floors and a high ceiling. By day it is a calm room. In the evening it serves for drinks, dining or dancing. The pool can be covered with a bespoke Perspex floor, which turns it into a reception space with light glowing beneath the floor.

For smaller gatherings the Shooting Gallery is a warm room hung with art, used for seated dinners and candlelit ceremonies. Its walls are covered in de Gournay paper, and it is licensed for civil ceremonies of up to 115 guests. The Nash and Rocklin Rooms, each lined with curated art, suit private dining or bridal preparation with close family and friends.
Numbers, rooms and food
Haymarket Hotel takes up to 160 guests for a seated dinner and 220 for a standing reception, with an in-house events team to run the day. Guests stay in 53 individually designed bedrooms and suites, so the wedding party can sleep under the same roof.

Seasonal menus, signature cocktails, lighting and table styling are all planned around each couple. Brumus, the hotel’s bar and restaurant, cooks Modern European menus, the Library has an honesty bar, and the first-floor terrace is used for drinks and photographs between the ceremony and dinner.

Getting there
