Behind its listed neoclassical façade the hotel blends French-inspired style with quintessentially British charm, and its event suites are connected by art-clad foyers. St James's Park, on the hotel's doorstep, is a setting for wedding photographs, and Green Park and Buckingham Palace are moments away. There are four wedding spaces to choose from: the Westminster, Mayfair, Kensington and Piccadilly & Bloomsbury Suites.
An Inspired Wedding Planner is the couple's single point of contact from the very first conversation, helping with room configuration and floral styling, seating plans and supplier coordination, and overseeing every transition behind the scenes on the day. A bridal beauty and grooming experience is offered, with hair styling, make-up and skincare treatments in a private preparation space for the wedding party. Couples can add extras such as a vintage Rolls-Royce arrival, a private champagne toast in one of the suites, a string quartet during the ceremony or a late-night cheese and wine station. Couples can earn points on their event through the Accor loyalty programme, ALL (Accor Live Limitless).

The ceremony and the reception can both take place at Sofitel London St James, with dedicated spaces for each part of the day. The Kensington Suite suits a small ceremony as well as a lavish reception. The Westminster Suite is suited to grand receptions and intimate ceremonies alike. The Piccadilly & Bloomsbury Suite can host ceremonies, receptions or both, and is arranged around the couple's vision.
The Westminster Suite is spacious and takes up to 180 guests for a cocktail reception. The Mayfair Suite blends classic grandeur with contemporary style, can be arranged whole or divided, and has access to a spacious foyer. The Piccadilly & Bloomsbury Suite can be divided or used whole, with an adjacent foyer. The hotel also has further event rooms for smaller gatherings, among them The Hive, the Piccadilly Suite, the Bloomsbury Suite, the Belgravia Suite and the Chelsea Suite.
The hotel's rooms and suites carry the signature Sofitel MyBed, and the wedding planner can help with guest room arrangements. The Luxury Room has a black and white chequered bathroom with a bathtub or rain shower and Diptyque amenities, with a king-size Sofitel MyBed. The hotel also has a spa.
Wedding dining is planned around the couple's taste, built on seasonal ingredients and French-inspired finesse. Menus range from canapé receptions to multi-course banquets and can be customised, including Michelin-star options from Wild Honey St James. Every couple is invited to a menu tasting with the culinary team, to sample and refine the menu.
