A fashion photographer who turned to weddings
Duke Photography, which trades as Duke Images, is led by founder and principal photographer Duke Khodaverdian. He trained in editorial fashion photography before turning to weddings, which he has photographed internationally for more than twenty years. The approach is photojournalistic, with a fashion photographer’s attention to light and composition.

Hands-on and quick to react
Duke describes himself as hands-on, discreet and quick to react. He uses additional lighting and scouts each location for the strongest backdrop, and the images keep the unplanned moments of the day alongside the portraits. A team of second photographers and production artists works with him, and lead photographer Bronson Pate has been with the studio for over a decade.

From Laguna Beach to Miami
The studio works across Los Angeles, Pasadena and Orange County, with New York and destination weddings also on offer. The portfolio includes Montage Laguna Beach, The Resort at Pelican Hill, Terranea Resort, The Beverly Hills Hotel and the Biltmore in Los Angeles, as well as Vizcaya in Miami and the Umaid Bhawan Palace in India.

An island and a landmark library
Further afield the portfolio takes in Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands, from a pastel floral arch on the sand to a wedding dinner in a timber pavilion, and a New York landmark library lined with white flowers. Fees are quoted for each wedding after a consultation.
