Fizz and Groove

Fizz and Groove is a wedding DJ and event hire company based in Covent Garden, working across London and the home counties. The company positions itself against the conventional wedding DJ, building its own equipment and styling rather than hiring in standard packages.

Much of the hire range is made in-house. It includes rustic-look DJ booths, custom-built selfie pods, bespoke flower walls and neon signs, all produced by the company itself.

Every booking comes with a complete sound and lighting set-up valued at over £6,000, using RCF speakers and ADJ lighting that the DJ controls wirelessly from behind the booth. Four to six wireless uplighters are included with each booking at no added cost.

Each DJ is selected through a recruitment process drawn from hundreds of applicants, judged on technical mixing and on choosing the right music for each point in the evening. Couples receive access to an online event planner and playlist system, where they can add must-play and do-not-play tracks.

Enquiries are answered within 24 hours, often sooner. A 30-minute call is arranged two weeks before the wedding to go through music, timings and logistics. The company reports 26 five-star reviews on Google. Discounts are available for the emergency services and armed forces, and the cost per item falls as more extras are booked for the same night.
