Freya Rose

Freya Rose is a shoe and jewellery label based in Southsea, Hampshire. Its collections take a romantic approach to classic couture shoes, and each pair is made by hand by craftspeople whose skills have passed down through generations.

The founder brings a background in fine jewellery to the designs. The result is jewelled shoes alongside demi-fine jewellery, worked in materials such as mother of pearl, brass and sterling silver. The collections have won international awards, and the label counts Kate Moss, Olivia Palermo and the Duchess of Cambridge among those who have chosen its designs.

Provenance and ethics shape how the pieces are made. For more than ten years the label has worked with a family-run factory in Spain and with families of craftspeople in Bali, with the aim of keeping traditional artistic skills alive.

The styles are timeless and contemporary, designed to be kept for years and passed on as heirlooms rather than followed as a passing trend. New collections are developed each season, exploring unusual materials and techniques.
