Sea, citrus groves and Vietri ceramics
Hotel Raito is a five-star hotel in the hamlet of Raito, on the hillside above Vietri sul Mare at the eastern end of the Amalfi Coast, with the Gulf of Salerno below it. Gardens, vineyards and citrus groves step down the slope, and the many terraces look over the sea. Rooms and public spaces are furnished in the Amalfi Coast manner, in warm colours with the traditional ceramics of Vietri, the village directly below. For more than 30 years the hotel has been known on this stretch of coast for its weddings, which follow the Neapolitan wedding tradition, and a dedicated events team plans and runs each celebration.
Il Golfo, Luna Vietrese, Ulivi Hall, La Vela, Aurora and the Agrumeto and Uliveto terraces are the seven wedding spaces. The halls are lit by panoramic windows over the gulf and the Faraglioni rocks of Vietri, and the two terraces sit among the citrus and olive trees above the sea, so a day can begin in the open air and end indoors. Thalea SPA, with a heated indoor pool and a panoramic solarium, and the outdoor pool with its lounge bar give guests the days either side of the wedding.

Vows above the Gulf of Salerno
A ceremony at Hotel Raito takes up to 230 guests, outdoors on a sea-view terrace facing the Gulf of Salerno or indoors in one of the halls, which have natural light on every side. The hotel's wedding consultants work with the couple on the organisation, the flowers, the mise en place and the music, and beauty services for the bride, the groom and their guests are booked on site for the morning of the wedding.
Receptions
Luna Vietrese and the sea-view terraces
The wedding banquet is seated in Luna Vietrese, the largest of the halls, and with Il Golfo connected to it the two take up to 300 guests. Smaller weddings dine in Ulivi Hall, La Vela or Aurora, and a reception can be a seated dinner or a standing, cocktail-style celebration. The welcome cocktail is held on the terraces above the sea. The wedding services include live music or a DJ, children's entertainment, the tableau de mariage and the table markers, and the hotel's shuttle brings guests up from the village.

Rooms and suites over the gulf
Of the 77 rooms and suites, many open onto a balcony or terrace over the Gulf of Salerno. Classic Rooms are compact doubles with shower rooms, and the Superior and Deluxe Sea View categories add a furnished balcony or a terrace facing the water. The Sunshine Grand View Suite has a private terrace with a gazebo, the Seiren Golden Suite a four-poster bed, a sitting room and a Jacuzzi, and the Seiren Suite a canopy bed and an indoor Jacuzzi.
Food and drink
Chef Francesco Russo at Il Golfo
Il Golfo, the hotel's restaurant, is led by Chef Francesco Russo, who cooks Campanian dishes with produce from local gardens, the sea and the hills behind the coast. Basil, coastal lemons and ripe tomatoes recur, and the tasting menus are called Essential, Identity and Roots. Wedding menus run from appetisers to dessert, with food corners for raw fish, sushi and Amalfi specialities. Il Grill & Pizzeria beside the pool bakes pizza in the Neapolitan style, and the Pool & Lounge Bar serves drinks with the sea in view.

The Agrumeto and the Uliveto sit among the citrus and olive trees above the gulf and take the outdoor ceremony and the welcome cocktail.

Amazing view
Our stay was very enjoyable. Beautiful views, mainly just relaxing in the sun by the pool during the day and going into town for dinner. Overall was great. Would definitely return.
