Cheryl Pagano founded Bella Sposa in Sorrento in 2013 and plans destination weddings along the Amalfi Coast, on Capri, Ischia and Procida, and in Puglia, Tuscany and Rome.
Cheryl Pagano is originally from the UK. She danced professionally on cruise ships across Europe and the Caribbean, moved into entertainment management and then tourism, and that work brought her to Sorrento, where she married in 2012.
She founded Bella Sposa the following year, having seen a gap for bespoke planning that understood both international expectations and the way Italy works. She still limits herself to 25 to 30 weddings a season.

Her ceremonies are civil, symbolic and multicultural. For foreign couples, the translations, documents and town hall appointments needed to marry legally in Italy are handled as part of the service. Civil ceremonies can be recognised in the couple's home country, while symbolic ceremonies allow more creative freedom.
Home ground is Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast, with Capri, Ischia and Procida reached by boat, and she also plans in Puglia, Tuscany and Rome. She works in English and Italian.
On the day she is present in person, with at least two of her own staff and a chosen team of local suppliers, and weddings often run over several days, with a welcome party, the ceremony and a farewell brunch.
The engagement begins with a conversation, after which she sources the venue and builds the plan around the ceremony the couple wants.
For civil ceremonies she handles translations, documents and town hall appointments.
She selects a vendor team for the wedding rather than assigning one.
Cheryl and her staff direct the celebration on site, in English and Italian.
