Italian Wedding Company plans destination weddings in Italy for couples who live abroad. It works as a group of planners and coordinators based in different parts of the country, each responsible for one territory, so the person running a wedding lives where it takes place. The planners cover the Italian lakes, the Piedmont and Lombardy countryside, Venice and the Veneto, Rome and central Italy, the Amalfi Coast, Puglia, the Italian Riviera and Sicily, and they also take winter weddings in the Alps and the Dolomites.
Valentina Lombardi leads the team and covers Lake Orta, Lake Maggiore, Lake Como, the Piedmont and Lombardy countryside and the Aosta Valley. Stefania Zen plans in Rome, Tuscany, Umbria, Lake Bracciano, Puglia and the Amalfi Coast. Veronica Frasca covers Venice, Verona, Lake Garda, the Veneto countryside and South Tyrol, Carola Biasetti the Italian Riviera and Portofino, and Fabio Marciano Sicily. Ernesto Troncarelli handles legal paperwork, logistics and financial coordination, and Mauro De Luca runs the websites and planning tools.
“Because we live and work locally, we know the venues, the logistics and the best vendors in each destination.”
Italian Wedding Company
The company runs several destination sites alongside its main one, among them Italian Lakes Wedding, launched in 2008, plus sites for country, seaside, Rome, winter, ethnic and LGBTQ+ weddings and elopements. Their lake weddings include Lake Orta and Villa Crespi, Isola Bella and the Rocca di Angera on Lake Maggiore, Villa del Balbianello and Villa d'Este on Lake Como, Lake Garda, and the smaller lakes near Rome: Bracciano, Bolsena and Albano.
They plan Catholic, civil, Protestant, Jewish, Orthodox, Hindu, symbolic and same-sex ceremonies, as well as elopements and intimate weddings. The team works in English every day; many of the planners also speak French, German and Spanish, and Russian-speaking couples have dedicated support.
Planning starts with the date, the guest count and the destination. A first proposal of venues, suppliers and a timeline follows, and the planner for that territory then takes the wedding through every detail to the day itself. Members of the team have also volunteered at Two+Us charity weddings in Palermo, Panama City and Lisbon between 2018 and 2021.
