About Villa Ormaneto

A 14th-century Venetian country villa in the Veronese countryside, set in a park of walnut trees, with eight rooms, a chapel and its own restaurant.

Villa Ormaneto in Cerea

Villa Ormaneto is a Venetian country villa in the Veronese countryside, built in the 14th century as a hunting lodge and later transformed into a country retreat. It stands at Cerea, in the province of Verona. Guests arrive along a tree-lined avenue of hornbeams into a park of Caucasian walnut trees. The hornbeam avenue is a striking entrance and suits arrival photographs, and the centuries-old walnuts give the grounds their character for outdoor celebrations. Inside, antique charm meets contemporary design. The style is rustic chic and botanical, and the villa is set up for destination weddings with family and friends.

Villa Ormaneto is designed for multi-day celebrations, with welcome dinners, the wedding day itself and relaxed brunches the morning after all hosted at the villa. The gardens and pool are laid out for outdoor ceremonies, cocktails and long weekends with family and friends. An onsite team coordinates logistics and assists with planning partners. Four-legged guests are welcome to be part of the day. Peak weekends are in high demand, and early reservations are recommended to secure a preferred date. The grounds include quiet lanes and lush greenery. It suits couples who want to slow down and celebrate, in a destination wedding that feels both personal and spacious.

A beautiful 700-year-old villa

A beautiful 700-year-old villa with a unique atmosphere. I spent three unforgettable days at Relais Villa Ormaneto, and every moment deserves the highest praise. From the very first step, I was captivated by the atmosphere, charming grounds, quiet lanes, and lush greenery, perfect for a romantic getaway. Room: Comfortable bed, private bathroom with full amenities, smart TV, air-conditioning, and flawless Wi-Fi, everything worked perfectly. Pool & parking: A lovely pool nestled in a tranquil garden and secure, discreet parking made the stay completely stress-free. Verona is only about a 40-minute drive away, an excellent base for exploring the sights. The on-site VI•OR restaurant is a true gem, a feast for the senses. Its stylish yet relaxed ambience under mature trees blends beautifully with local cuisine. The highlight for me was the snails, prepared with respect for tradition yet with a modern twist. The wine list is excellent, featuring regional bottles that elevate every dish. Snails, an absolute must-try. Wine, expertly curated and perfectly matched to the menu. Service, warm, professional, and capable of creating a truly special atmosphere. It’s an ideal spot for a romantic escape, time seems to slow down here, and every detail invites you to relax and savour the moment. You need to come here with your own car. It’s quite a distance from Verona and other interesting towns. But sometimes it’s worth driving 30–40 minutes to find yourself in a truly special place.
