Two sisters and an opening in Phuket
The Wedding Bliss Thailand was founded in 2011 by two sisters, Nanya and Jess Tantapaiboon, who saw an opening for luxury destination weddings in Phuket. Nanya, who trained in the arts and paints, leads the planning and design side as Destination Wedding Planning Director. Jess, who has an MBA in global marketing and a background in public relations, runs strategy and brand as Executive Director.

The design
Design is central to the work. The portfolio runs from all-white garden ceremonies and beach dinners with hanging flowers and chandeliers to colourful Thai-inspired aisles and multi-day celebrations. Weddings have been published in magazines including Vogue and Town & Country.

Where it works
The company is based in Phuket and plans weddings across Thailand, including Koh Samui, Krabi, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Hua Hin, Khao Yai and Bangkok. It also plans overseas, with weddings in Tuscany and on Lake Como in its portfolio, and works with a network of vendors in Thailand and abroad.

How a wedding is planned
A client relations manager handles the first enquiry, the planning proposal and the contract, after which a lead planner and a designer take the wedding through to the day. The team arranges curated site inspections, develops a concept and theme, builds a cost breakdown and a production schedule, and holds a rehearsal and run-through the day before. On the day, planners, coordinators and a set-up crew work on site from installation to dismantling.

Services also cover guest accommodation advice, welcome and rehearsal dinners, and a design-only service for large events and for weddings outside Thailand. Fees are quoted per wedding after an enquiry, and there are no published packages. The company has a YouTube channel with its wedding films.
