Private 24-acre riverside estate and vineyard · Newport, Isle of Wight
A 24-acre private estate and vineyard on the Isle of Wight, available for exclusive use, with indoor and outdoor ceremony settings and dogs welcome.
Pinkmead Estate and Vineyard is a private 24-acre retreat on the Isle of Wight, with waterfront views, woodland, lakes and manicured lawns. It is a female-owned family business, open to all and an advocate of the LGBTQIA+ family, and dogs are welcome across the estate. Every wedding has the whole property to itself, including the vineyard, which is organic and pesticide free. The lakes and lagoons are home to some of the rarest birds in the UK, and the estate's interiors combine boutique styling with hi-tech facilities.
A wedding here can be an exclusive-use celebration with all the trimmings or a small, intimate private event, and the estate can be hired for one day or for three days and two nights. Guests can walk the woodland and the organic vineyard, or take the paddle boards and kayaks kept in the boathouse out on the river, including a trip to the pub opposite after a long walk. The main house, the Kitchen Garden and the Yoga Studio stand within the grounds, and every part of the estate is designed with comfort and exclusivity in mind. A simple price list lets couples add the extras they want, so a wedding can be built to a budget.

Ceremonies at Pinkmead are held in the estate's licensed locations. The Poetry Hut, The Studio and the Kitchen Garden are more suited to smaller, intimate gatherings, while The Boathouse and the Vineyard can accommodate many more guests. The estate holds an outdoor licence and an indoor licence, and ceremonies can be held indoors or out. The estate offers both an indoor and an outdoor ceremony setting.

The Boathouse seats up to 150 guests for dinner. A festival-style tipi village can be set up on the grounds for the celebration, and marquees and tents are available. Sonos systems in the Kitchen Garden and the Yoga Studio can shape the atmosphere of the party, and because of the private location sound is not an issue. Staging and exclusive artists can be arranged, and all the props on the estate are available to couples to use, which helps keep costs down.

The main house sleeps six comfortably on the three-day hire. The Kitchen Garden is independent from the main house, with a kitchen and an ensuite bathroom, and the Yoga Studio, also independent, has a sofa, yoga mats, weights and a baby grand piano. Guests are greeted with a bottle of estate-distilled Pinkmead Gin, and can choose self check-in or a check-in agent to meet them. The radio on the sound system can be set to a preferred station for arrival.

Menus draw on the island's ingredients, with producers dedicated to biodiversity and regenerative farming, and home-grown island produce can be part of a wedding. The estate has an alcohol licence and a corkage option. Isle Graze platters run from charcuterie to fruit and vegetables, and private dining events and masterclasses are offered. The vineyard aims to produce organic and biodynamic English sparkling, white and rosé wines.

Lawns run down to the tidal river, with paddleboards and kayaks kept in the boathouse.
