Claudio Sichel and Whitesfilm Wedding Videography

Whitesfilm is the studio of Claudio Sichel, a videographer born and raised in Padua. He studied Arts, Music and Performing Arts (DAMS) at the University of Bologna, completed a Master’s at the Bologna Film Academy and founded Whitesfilm in 2014, after years making music videos, company films and documentaries, some broadcast on Sky, Rai and Mediaset. He has won awards at international festivals as a director of animated music videos.

He films weddings with Silvia, his partner in work and life, who shoots alongside him and runs production. The two describe themselves as a couple filming couples, from small elopements to large luxury weddings. For bigger days, camera operators Alberto and Ciprian join them, and a team of editors, Paola, Thomas, Chiara and Alessio, keeps delivery moving through the high season. Behind them are camera operators Alberto and Ciprian and an editing team of Paola, Thomas, Chiara and Alessio.

“We don’t work on a set with actors, but with real people and real emotions, which I strive to portray in the most sincere, elegant, and intimate way possible.”

Claudio Sichel, founder and lead videographer

The approach is reportage. Claudio does not pose couples or stage moments; he works with essential equipment rather than a large crew, heavy lights or a bulky stabiliser, and tries to move among the guests without being noticed. The edit follows the rules of cinema in a style he calls sober, fresh, dynamic and elegant, with music chosen for each story: a short, concentrated film rather than a long record.

From the Padua studio they film all over Italy, with published work in Venice, Lake Como, Tuscany, Ravello and Sicily, and in Provence, and they list Verona, Lake Garda, Apulia, Capri, Portofino, Taormina, Rome, the French Riviera and Greece among their destinations. Their Venice films include a three-day wedding at Aman Venice that was also covered by Vogue, and the wedding of footballer Alvaro Morata and Alice Campello at the Redentore, filmed with the discretion a wedding with press outside the church requires.

Their most recent published film, from November 2025, follows the wedding of Charlotte and footballer Sam Byram at Château de Tourreau in Provence, planned by Wanderlust Wedding and photographed by Andrew Bayda.

How they work

From the first message to the day itself

  1. 01Enquiry

The contact form asks for the date, event type, location, guest numbers and the planner and photographer already booked. The more detail you give, the more precise the offer, which usually arrives within 48 hours.

  2. 02A tailored offer

A proposal built around your wedding, whether an elopement, a single day or a wedding over several days.

  3. 03Working with your team

They plan the day with your wedding planner and work alongside your photographer, who they ask about from the first enquiry.

  4. 04The wedding

Claudio and Silvia film from preparations to the last dance, with camera operators added for larger weddings, keeping to the background with light equipment.

  5. 05The edit

The in-house editors cut a short cinematic film with chosen music, shaped around the moments of the day rather than a fixed template.

Questions couples ask

Before you write to them

How much does Whitesfilm charge?

They do not publish prices. Send the date, location, guest numbers and type of event through their contact form and they reply with a tailored offer, usually within 48 hours.

Where are they based and where do they film?

The studio is at Selvazzano Dentro, outside Padua and about thirty minutes from Venice. They film across Italy, including Venice, Verona, Lake Garda, Lake Como, Tuscany, Apulia, the Amalfi Coast, Sicily and Rome, and travel to France, Greece and further afield.

Who films the wedding?

Claudio Sichel and Silvia film together. For larger weddings they bring camera operators Alberto and Ciprian, and a team of four editors works on the films.

What is their filming style?

Reportage. They do not pose couples or stage scenes, use light, essential equipment and try to blend in among the guests. The films are edited in a cinematic style and kept short.

How long are the films?

Their published trailers run from about one and a half to four minutes. They do not publish the length of the full film, so ask what is included when you enquire.

How soon will we receive the film?

They do not publish a delivery time. They say their in-house editors let them keep to the fast delivery schedules of the high season.

Do they work with our photographer and planner?

Yes. Their enquiry form asks who your planner and photographer are, and they describe working closely with both.

Do they film elopements and multi-day weddings?

Yes. Their published films include a Lake Como elopement and a three-day wedding at Aman Venice, and the enquiry form lists elopements and multi-day weddings.
