Nozze da film

Nozze da Film is a small wedding film studio in Savigliano, in the province of Cuneo, a short drive from the Langhe. The team is led by a director who trained at the New York Film Academy and who also makes commercials, business films and music videos, so weddings are shot with the same kit and the same eye as their other work.

Their approach is simple: nobody is asked to pose. The films follow the couple and their guests as the day happens, with editing that leans cinematic rather than documentary. Couples who have written to them keep coming back to the same point, that the crew was discreet enough to forget about. One bride who described herself as shy and camera-averse said it felt like being among friends.

“We don't ask anyone to pose, because we believe true beauty lies in free expression.”

Nozze da Film

Every wedding is covered by two video-makers for the whole day. They film the preparations, use several cameras for the ceremony, then follow the couple to the reception for the aperitivo, dinner, cake and party. Timings are agreed beforehand with the planner, photographer, venue and other suppliers. Professional drones are flown by ENAC-licensed operators when it is safe to do so, and sound is recorded with dedicated audio equipment. Nozze da Film does not take photographs; it works alongside whichever photographer the couple chooses.

Most of their recent weddings are in Piedmont: the Langhe at Monforte d'Alba, Serralunga d'Alba and Monchiero, Pollenzo, the Abbazia di Staffarda, Villa Kimera in Cuneo, the Castello di Morozzo, the Giardini La Pergola in Alessandria and Villa Bria outside Turin. They have also filmed at the Abbazia di San Galgano in Tuscany, and they take weddings of any faith, civil and symbolic ceremonies and same-sex civil unions, in Italy and abroad.

Couples receive two films: a trailer of about two minutes set to royalty-free music for sharing, and a film of about twenty minutes that tells the whole day, with a soundtrack chosen together with the couple. Both are shown to the couple first and can be changed on request. Everything is delivered within six months on a branded USB stick in a white presentation box.

Married 10 July 2021

We got married on 10 July 2021... and a couple of months later our video was ready. You’ve helped us to relive our special day: we laughed, cried and were moved. Simply, thanks, because we’re sure that years from now this video will move us just the same. High-level professionals. Congratulations, truly. Highly recommended.

Among friends

Brides and grooms, don’t hesitate. I’m usually awkward, shy and avoid cameras, and on our wedding day there were 2 operators working on our video. But I felt I was among friends. Wonderful people; friendly and, above all, they know how to put you at ease! I'm extremely satisfied, the result is spectacular and really feels like a film. My husband was unsure about making a video because he thought it would be static and not very creative, like most wedding videos. But he had to think again! Keep up the good work, guys, you helped us to relive wonderful memories we’ll never tire of watching!

An intimate wedding in the rain

Our wedding was an extremely intimate affair. There were only forty of us! We were all Brazilians, some (including the photographer) spoke no Italian, but this wasn’t a problem at all. They handled it brilliantly. We were married in the rain, and it was all… improvised! Again, they adapted perfectly. Thanks again for the amazing job you did! Watching the video is like reliving the happiest day of our lives. And I’d like to add something else. I’m a very private person and I struggle to feel at ease; I was actually quite nervous. But I was worrying for nothing! I felt really comfortable. And the guests felt comfortable too! We were even complimented by the owners of the restaurant! You’re a great team! Heartfelt thanks!
