Gaetano Di Giacomo Media Production

Gaetano Di Giacomo, who goes by Gae, started in weddings at sixteen in Sorrento, carrying batteries and setting lights for a local wedding videographer. He now runs Gaetano Di Giacomo Media Production from two bases, Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire and Perugia in Umbria, and says he and his team bring more than ten years of experience to luxury weddings. In 2023 Guides for Brides named him Best National Wedding Videographer, and The Wedding Industry Awards named him best South Central wedding videographer.

He describes his films as cinematic with a documentary core: he films the day as it happens rather than staging it, then builds the edit around the moments couples did not see themselves. Couples' reviews on his site come back to the same point, that he blends in during the ceremony and speeches. He films on Sony FX3 and A7S III cameras with prime lenses, uses a DJI Ronin gimbal for moving shots, and flies DJI drones for aerial views of the venue and the confetti exit.

“I started filming weddings at just 16, and over the years, I've mastered not only the art of storytelling but also the skill of being "invisible."”

Gaetano Di Giacomo, founder

In England his work centres on London, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Essex and Cambridge, with films at Ashridge House, Hedsor House, The Ned, the NoMad Hotel, Waddesdon and Kin House in Wiltshire. As an Italian speaker he is often booked for Italian destination weddings in Tuscany, Florence, Umbria, Lake Como and on the Amalfi Coast, and he has also filmed at Villa Almanita in Spain and One&Only Portonovi in Montenegro.

Couples receive a short teaser or trailer first, then a highlight film, with longer feature films on his channel for many weddings. Films are delivered through an online VidFlow gallery, and a USB in a handmade wooden case is available as a keepsake. He also takes a small number of photography commissions each year, but only for couples who book him for film as well.

A lovely keepsake

We can’t thank you enough for our amazing wedding film! It truly captured the emotion of the day and now we have these memories for a lifetime. We feel very pleased with ourselves for finding Gaetano because he created such an incredible film and made us look like movie stars! Gaetano made the whole process so effortless, from booking him to his attendance on the day. The film came in a beautifully presented wooden box so we have a lovely keepsake. He’s worth every penny! He even arranged for my husbands family to attend by video link. We couldn’t be happier - thank you!!!

A unique cinematic style

I searched high and low for a unique cinematic style videographer and as soon as I found Gaetano, I knew he would be perfect!
It was so nice to have a smiley and fun character behind the camera, he made us feel at ease with his professional yet natural, friendly approach.
Our film edits are perfect. The cinematic highlight film truly captures the best moments of our day and really reflects our emotions through the editing and soundtrack. It’s unique, creative and special and I can’t stop smiling when I watch it.

Captured the atmosphere of the day

If you're looking for a wedding videographer, look no further because Gaetano is amazing.
On the wedding day Gae and his assistant arrived early, got some shots of the venue and of us getting ready. He was kind, friendly and it didn't feel like you had a camera right in your face. He really captured the atmosphere of the day and little candid moments. The sneak preview video was absolutely beautifu. The full length wedding video is stunning and it makes us want to do the wedding all over again!
