Alex Znahar Films is the studio of Alex Znaharchuk, its founder, director and lead videographer. He picked up a camera nearly fifteen years ago, and the studio says its team has filmed weddings, events and documentaries since 2009. It works from Paris with a team of videographers, screenwriters and editors, and takes on everything from elopements to large weddings with an entertainment programme and many guests.
The style mixes cinematic, storytelling and short-form film. The lead videographers shoot in a natural, unobtrusive way, and the studio's starting point is that a whole story can sit in small, chance details: a petal falling from a bouquet, a dropped cufflink. Alex says he looks for natural, spontaneous moments while giving couples some guidance, since many have never been filmed before, and that his first priority is to put them at ease.
“We believe that even the smallest details and unexpected occurrences can shape a compelling narrative.”

Much of the published work is in French châteaux, with several films at Château Challain in the Loire, others at Château d'Artigny, Château de Varennes and Château de Prye, and Paris weddings at Shangri-La Paris. The studio also names Petit Palais, Hôtel de Crillon, Palais Garnier and Château de Chantilly among the places it has filmed. Beyond France there are films from Leeds Castle and Eastnor Castle in England, Le Galinier de Lourmarin in Provence, and Prague and Château Zbiroh in the Czech Republic.
Weddings that run over several days are covered too, including rehearsals, post-wedding events and entertainment such as music shows or circus acts. On Vimeo, many weddings appear as a highlights film of around four minutes alongside a longer full film, and many have a one-minute teaser as well.
