Holborn wedding venues
Our current Holborn collection features three hand-selected venues.
Why marry in Holborn?
Holborn sits between Covent Garden and the City of London, and it is the home of two of the four Inns of Court, Gray's Inn and Lincoln's Inn, where barristers have trained and worked for centuries. Weddings here take place in the Inns' historic halls and walled gardens rather than in hotels, which gives the area a character quite different from Mayfair or Knightsbridge.
Gray's Inn, the Holborn venue, is licensed for ceremonies in its Hall, the Large Pension Room and The Walks, its garden, where a summer marquee takes larger receptions.
For guests, Holborn is central and easy to reach: the Elizabeth line at Farringdon runs direct to Heathrow, and hotels in Covent Garden and Bloomsbury are within a short walk or taxi ride. The British Museum and the squares of Bloomsbury are close by for photographs.

Which stations are closest to Holborn?
Holborn (Central and Piccadilly lines) and Chancery Lane (Central line), with Farringdon, on the Elizabeth line and Thameslink, a short walk to the east. The Elizabeth line runs direct from Farringdon to Heathrow.
Can we have a legal ceremony at Gray's Inn?
Yes. Gray's Inn's own wedding brochure lists three licensed ceremony spaces: the Hall, the Large Pension Room and The Walks, its garden.
Where can guests stay near Holborn?
Gray's Inn has no bedrooms, so guests stay in hotels nearby, in Covent Garden, Bloomsbury or the City, all within a short walk or taxi ride.
